The Correlation between Internet- Based Learning and L2 Motivational Self System

These present study aims are to find out the students’ L2 motivational self-system and correlation between e-learning of English department students. This was conducted in a private University East Java, Indonesia. used quantitative research design. L2MSS questionnaire were distributed collect data from students, analyzed with statistical method Pearson's coefficient. The findings show that sub-factors L2MSS, namely instrumentally –promotion, have highest mean (M = 72.03, SD 8.87). It means students do some efforts achieve goal learning for their future get better job more money. While, Integrativeness has lowest 16.25, 1.66), which less effort studying culture, art native speakers target language. In addition, Pearson output shows positive even though moderate correlation. relationship internet-based motivation is fundamental factor needs be studied improve quality teaching because technology an essential part higher education. suggested further explore about other areas different characteristics, using mixed-method approach.
